I said "start small, because starting is the most important part. . ." and I realized that is excellent advice and I should probably follow it. {sheepish grin} DraQ Community is a bright idea I've been trying to launch for over two years
The internet is evolving at a frantic rate, enough so that even as professionals, we can't keep up with it alone. Fortunately, it's also a tool that empowers a group. Because as a network of networks on the physical level, it is also evolving toward a network on the social level which we're calling Web2.0, Social Networking, etc.
The DraQ Community is dedicated to helping people exploit the internet for profit while protecting their cyberpersonnae. This rampant progress we're experiencing on the internet gives us enormous opportunities, but also concommitant security risks that a like-minded group can help you exploit safely, or more safely anyway. We'll also be a force in helping the entire internet evolve toward a better future.
This is one of Mom's "Loggy" style houses. NOT my favorite style, made with corrugated cardboard without the top layer of card on it, designed to look like a log house. I used a coffee cup liner (ya know, the kind you get at Starbucks?) to replace the roof that was in bad shape.
This is another of Mom's Loggy houses. I liked working on this one a little better, I like the shape of it.
Nick has been pestering that he wanted to make a house. I build him one out of foam board, and let him have at it with paint and glitter. He put in grass, trees around the windows, wants it rainbow colored. He has more work he wants to do on it, but agreed that he needed to let it dry. I think I created a monster. Good start though!
Shadow has an extensive following on a couple of Mailing Lists he's hosting with us and I'm trying to talk him into using Drupal's Forums tech as a replacement. Of course the primary objection is that Forum technology requires attendance on the website hosting the forum, he's accustomed (and so are his users) to handling everything from the Mail User Agent (MUA).

This article starts out easy, but eventually gets into areas that are “too deep” for the average PC user (like myself). Read on, but don’t be alarmed if this gets too technical and you have to skip to the end. It’s really not that I go into it in that much detail, but the software tools (JAVA) and operating systems (LINUX) aren’t what people in our group are used to. I’ll try to keep it simple because this is just an overview, not a how-to.
Been working on a Blarney Castle for Dwane. Castles are a pain. Been thinking how I can make it look like stone. Gonna do a LOT of thinking on this one! Ahahaha
